Abstract

Cancer has become a high-impact phenomenon for both who gets the diagnosis and who gets it. Thus, this disease responds to a series of affective, psychological and behavioral combinations, which are present in communities, individuals and health teams. It is for that reason that the aim of this work is to provide from the Psychology of Health and Psychooncology a critical look, contributing to a reflection on the importance of self-care within the multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary teams involved in cancer patient care and palliative care, preventing the appearance of Burnout Syndrome or Professional Wear and Tear.
