Resumen

El presente estudio busca indagar sobre las realidades migrantes haitianas, en su reciente establecimiento en la ciudad de Valparaíso; sus movimientos y trayectorias que surgen a partir del encuentro entre “lo haitiano” y “lo chileno”. Entendiendo que, en un contexto globalizado, las fronteras se difunden, y, con ello, las culturas no podrán ser encapsuladas a partir de límites geográficos establecidos, sino más bien, como nuevas expresiones e identidades que trascienden la materialidad del territorio.

This work explores Haitian migrant realities, specifically about their recent establishment in the city of Valparaíso; their movements and trajectories which arise from the encounter between “the Haitian reality” and “the Chilean reality”. Understanding that, immerse on a globalized context, borders are disseminated, and, along with that, cultures cannot be encapsulated from established geographical limits, but rather, as new expressions and identities which transcend the materiality of the territory.
