In this article I will review the work of Gloria Anzaldúa thinking about the power of autobiographical writings, which are articulated by this author based on the concept of autohistoria, which arises from her late writings. The notion of autohistoria interrogates us about the limits of the intimate and strength of the barriers that construct the silences that order what can be said and what should be silenced, through this concept, Anzaldúa dismantles the mandates of good say and write against itself (flores, 2009) to rescue a set of memories that, as monstrous and contradictory, challenge, from the depths of their insides, the imaginaries that articulate the multiple worlds from which this author raises her voice.
